At Grangefield we encourage all our children to have fun and experiment with art, this can be working with many different materials such as charcoal, paint, pastels and creating 3D sculpture. Have a look at our wonderful artwork.
Year 3 had so much fun creating their own chocolate bars suitable for Willie Wonker’s chocolate factory.

Art Skills Day
During art skills day Year 6 linked their artwork to the book they were studying in English – Kensuke’s Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo. The children tracked the journey around the world and carefully sketched the different animals that the family saw on their voyage. They also used their mark making skills to create the title for their wonderful piece of artwork.
Autumn Term – Year 6 Artwork
In art we have been studying Lowry – a famous artist who paints pictures which include many different types of buildings. As our topic is called ‘No Place Like Home’ we focused on the buildings and sketched sections from Lowry’s paintings demonstrating our skills in shading and perspective. We thoroughly enjoyed our art sessions and annotating our sketch books.
