Extreme Reading

Children have been reading in extreme places. Here are some pictures.

Outdoor learning

Making the most of the gorgeous Spring weather this week several classes have been taking their learning outside. Reception have been exploring in the Copse, Year 1 have been inventing and planting potatoes, Year 2 had a PE coach to develop their ball skills, Year 3 painted their volcanos, Year 4 enjoyed developing their calculation skills using the playground number square, Year 6 created personification poems and finally Year 5 and 6 worked together to improve their French through reading books and playing language games. It's been wonderful to see so many different subjects taught outside throughout the week.

2017 K'nex Challenge

On 3 March Year 6 competed in the K’nex challenge, where the whole class had to build a vehicle that could rescue people from a burning building. It had to reach two grey rods high and had to be strong. Here are some of the vehicles we built.

Harry Potter night

Thank you to all the wizards, witches and muggles that attended our magical Harry Potter book and movie evening. We hope the evening helps to inspire a new generation of Harry Potter fans to get reading.

2016 Harvest Festival

Our Harvest Festival this year was held at St Michaels Church in Bishops Cleeve.

2016 PGL Trip

2016 School Trip

The children enjoyed the school trip to Cotswold Wildlife Park.

Rio Olympic Workshop

Last week each class in KS2 represented a country and focused on song/dance and music from that country and in the afternoon they put on a ‘Grand Opening Ceremony’ which they presented to the rest of the school. Chloe in Year 6 said “I really enjoyed the music day because I liked learning about different types of music from other countries and playing new instruments. I especially liked the song waltzing Matilda which comes from Australia. All of the classes were really good but my favourite was the Chinese dragon dance.”
