Year 3 have been investigating what a plant needs to grow well. We kept some without light, some without water and some without warmth. These are the survivors! We shall be taking good care of these over the coming weeks – hoping for some beans for a Niçoise salad.
Year 3 had so much fun creating their own chocolate bars suitable for Willie Wonker’s chocolate factory
Year 3 carried out an investigation to test which materials reflect light better. The children were asked to help choose the best material for a reflective strip for a book bag. One intrepid inventor even created her very own reflective book bag at home – well done Palak!
On Monday 10th September Year 3, suitability dressed, boarded their time machine and magically travelled back 5000 years to the land of the Pharaohs! Following this we all went outside to create a human history timeline using 1 metre to mark 100 years. Throughout the afternoon the children made bookmarks, writing their name in hieroglyphics on genuine papyrus. We then used our artistic skills to collage a Sarcophagus. We all had an amazing day full of learning and fun!
