Grangefield is an amazing school: kind teachers, kind friends, large library, nice hall, good music room, outside equipment, bike parking and scooters to park, good facilities like copse field, good assembly.

Cheltenham Science Festival @ Home

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am pleased to announce that this year’s Science Festival is going ahead on the 2nd to 7th June – although in a very different way from usual. You can see what’s on offer here (all events are free!).

There is only 1 event which is designated as a family event but there may be other events which you feel are appropriate for your child.  I have collated a  list of events which I think may be interesting  as I have not been able to check the content for myself you will need to satisfy yourself that they are appropriate for your child.

Science Festival Suggestions

To link with the Science Festival we have included lots of Science based activities in this week’s learning packs.

I hope you have a happy Science week.

National Numeracy Day

On Wednesday 13th May, it is National Numeracy Day, it is a day to raise awareness of the importance of numeracy in our daily lives and promote confidence with numbers. I didn’t want this day to pass unnoticed so please see the grids with activities for the children. I hope that they are enjoyable rather than onerous. There are three different grid,  one suitable for Reception, another for Years 1 and 2 and another for Years 3 –  6.

Many thanks

Miss Bennett
